Hi All,
I have started a new hobby : PHOTOGRAPHY, when u see ur friends are shooting and putting photos on facebook, and last time u uploaded any photos was way back in stone age, U seems to starts feeling itch.
Right now I was choosing the camera, sud I go for SLR or point and shoot.
Luckily I have a friend who is good at this and he tried to explain me certain things which make the camera works. I will try to do justice to his teachings and provide u with a gist.
Aperture and shutter speed :
These two are like tap and how long it is open. If ur aperture is big , u tend to have more light but if shutter speed is small , then the amount of light will be less.
if ur camere says f3.1-f5.8 or f/3.1 to f/5.8 ...that means f/3.1 will be larger aperture and will allow more light
when u are using large aperture, think u r using a bigger lens so things u have not focused will have rays either meeting before or after the camera sensor , hence the blur.
when u are using a small aperture small lens is there so amount of reflection for all the light rays will be almost same, hence all things appear same.
in case of shutter speed say 1 to 1/1000 sec, 1 sec will allow more light.
shutter speed mainly has prominent role in cas u are capturing a moving object, in that case if u want to have blaze go for larger value of shutter speed, as it will alllow the picture of movinf object for a long time, so can can see lines, if u want sharp picture than go for small shutter speed.
Now I am off to expirement today with aperture and shutter speed , but needs a camera first :)
Will upload photos once i have them
